There are many different routes to be taken after high school. Here are some different plans of Proviso Township seniors
Proviso West’s Omar Flores said, “I plan on taking a gap year after high school to work full time in a warehouse and save up enough money to start my career as an electrician and attend a trade school.”
This is a very different approach compared to most seniors who plan on continuing their academic careers.
It is good to see the variety and the way students want to start their careers immediately after graduation.
However, Hiram Mendoza from PMSA said, “My plan after graduation is to go out of state to college and continue playing soccer as a D2 athlete while majoring in computer science.”
It is very common to see graduating seniors take this route because of the future they already have planned for themselves.
Proviso Township seems to have students that mostly know what their plan is after high school.
This township has gone uphill over the past few years and has become a reliable school for parents to send their children to.
Proviso East’s Isaac Melendez said, “After graduation I plan on working with my dad doing landscaping and on the side work towards earning my class C license.”
Another theme that these seniors seem to like the idea of attending a trade school. Trade schools have become a lot more popular over the years and give opportunities to kids fresh out of high school which is super convenient.
All these students come from the same friend group, and all have different aspirations in life.
They all collectively agreed to stay in contact after high school, but for a while it might be difficult to hang out like they used to because they are focusing on their long-term futures.
